I am currently taking a Lighting and Rendering Class for Maya. This piece of geometry I did NOT model but I did light this scene. I had more dark values for some of them to create a different feel for the image, a darker feel. And with the other more brightly light images I wanted the space to come across a 'livable'. What I mean by that is I wanted the space to feel as though just about anyone can possibly be in there; as if it could be in someones house. It was tough to do because of how old fashioned the geometry look is but for the amount of time I was given, which wasn't very long I see it as successful.

Two photoshop paintings of my character Im still developing. I tried two completely different approaches with each. The first is a more comic/ animated feel with very little detail. The one below was done with multiple passes including "shadow" and "light" passes. That one took me longer to complete.
Still trying to find and style and work flow that works best for me ^_^. Well… back to work
